John Allis Profile Picture JOHN ALLIS (DIRECTOR) 
Having spotted the niche for a musical retail outlet back in 1980, the managing Director John initially converted his garage business into a music shop in Tadworth. The opportunity to purchase Sutton music shop then arose shortly afterwards in 1985 and then he swapped the Tadworth Location to Banstead High Street in the mid 1990's. John is an experienced instrument repairer and services woodwind, brass and string instruments. Always keen for a chat, John will be happy to advise on matters ranging from Mozart to Musical Instrument Mechanics.

John is a very keen golfer and only likes tea in his ‘mushroom’ cup!

 

Mark Allis Profile Picture MARK ALLIS (DIRECTOR) 
 Mark Allis has grown up with the Company and is now taken on the running and development of Sutton Music Centre. With the retail showroom, teaching studios, instrument workshop and live music events he is aiming at Sutton Music Centre becoming the hub for music making in Sutton and surrounding areas.

Mark is a professional session drummer who has played with various musicians ranging from Frank Sinatra through to the likes of The Mighty Boosh!

Mark likes it when gigs end before 2am and he doesn’t have to be at work early the next day!

Louise AllisLouise Allis Profile Picture
Louise has also grown up with the Company and now manages the Sheet music department. Her reservoir of knowledge ranging from exam pieces through to the most current popular tabs Louise has helped us to provide a quick and useful service to customers with a wide range of needs. She also manages direct orders at the shop and will be happy to research any title and its availability for you. 

Louise loves the radio all the way up to ‘11’ and hates it when people turn it down!

 



James Brown Profile PictureSam brooks
Sam joined Sutton Music just over a year ago and is now our Guitar Specialist. Sam studied music at college and used his knowledge to help progress him musically through different bands playing all over the country. You can catch him live at various gigs ranging from London venues like The Water Rats to small festivals such as Guilfest. For any advice on guitars, basses through to strings Sam will be happy to help.

Sam loves retro or vintage guitars, so if you have anything that meets the criteria feel free to pop in and distract him….but not for too long!



John Vince Profile PicJohn Vince
John is our drum specialist. He was awarded a music scholorship at school and obtained his grade 8 on the drums when he was sixteen. John is a member of various bands and also teaches in the local area. John also plays the piano and is a keen producer, having built up his own studio. For any advice you may require regarding the drums and keyboards through to microphones and mixers, please feel free to call/come and chat and he'll be happy to help point you in the right direction.

John loves his custard creams at work and his curry in the evenings!


Keiron Marshall
Keiron joined just under a year ago and works at the shop on the weekends and specialises in guitars, percussion and Live sound. Keiron uses this knowledge outside of the shop every week with the gigs he puts on. Keiron plays in various bands and you can catch him live regularly at venues across London. If you have any questions about choosing the right PA system, guitars to accessories, Keiron will be happy to help.

Keiron is a tea addict and you can catch him making up to 9 cups a day.
